Uniting more than 100 singers, dancers and musicians, the Russian Army Ensemble of St Petersburg brings spectacular dancing and rousing traditional music to the stage. Colourful costumes, vivid choreography and boundless energy are the hallmarks of the 40 talented dancers whose dazzling acrobatics and striking dance sequences reflect life, love and emotion from across Russia and beyond. The choir brings alive not only an array of Russian folk songs but also works from other cultures learnt during past overseas visits.

It's Christmas Eve. At her parents’ party, Clara is thrilled when her godfather, the mysterious Herr Drosselmeyer, gives her a nutcracker doll. Later that night, when everyone is asleep, Clara sneaks downstairs to look for her doll, only to find that all the toys come to life in a sparkling fantasy.

Keeping faithfully to the exact Miller instrumental line-up on stage, the band plays the best of his original music from authentic scores alongside newer hit tunes arranged with the unmistakable Miller touch.
Carl Orff’s most famous work, Carmina Burana celebrates life, love, dancing, drinking and hedonism – but always with an eye on the role of fate. Based on 24 mediaeval Latin poems whose carefree spirit contrasts vividly with traditional concepts of life and death in the Middle Ages, this sweeping and powerful cantata for large-scale chorus, orchestra and soloists was a huge success at its 1937 premiere. The dramatic pivotal movement, O Fortuna, is one of the best-known choral pieces ever written.
Return to the gaiety and glamour of 19th century Vienna with this sparkling gala concert of famous waltzes, polkas and marches by the “Waltz King”, Johann Strauss. You’ll be swept along by the exhilarating melodies of favourites such as the Emperor Waltz, Tales from the Vienna Woods and the overture to Die Fledermaus, before the concert reaches its traditional finale – the most famous waltz of all, the Blue Danube, and the stirring Radetsky March, complete with audience accompaniment.
